Love Your Neighbor as Yourself?
You are invited to a workshop April 13-15 at Camp Y-Noah. 16 hours plus personal time to reflect. Participants will gain helpful tools to enable them to be peacemakers in times such as these. Participants will be asked to step out of their comfort zones, stand their ground in love, to love others as they love themselves, to keep confidentiality. Upon completion, participants will be expected to recruit people from their neighborhoods, churches, and families. Ultimately we all benefit when we become the change we want to see in the world. This is not an introductory workshop.
Cost is $100 per person and includes lodging, snacks,
3 meals on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday.
Bring a Bible, paper and pen.
If you need a scholarship, you may apply for one when you register.
Dress for comfort. Expect to be outside sometimes. This is a working retreat. This is going to be a chance to meet and work with people with whom you normally don’t interact. Be prepared for anything.
When hate, mistrust and violence present themselves, as is increasingly evident in our country, the church is called to be an instrument of peace and love. The Culture of Peace Prophetic Witness Team will provide training for individuals and churches who wish to be engaged in creating a culture of peace within their own lives and communities.
